Privacy policy
TribalGaming.com is operated by TribalGaming Media Corp. ("we," "us," "the Publisher"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, what we share, and what choices you have. Questions: privacy@tribalgaming.com.
Summary
We collect only what we need to run a newsroom: email addresses of readers who ask to be on our newsletter, messages sent to us via the Contact form, and aggregate analytics about which pages are read. We do not sell your data. We do not run behavioral ad targeting.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you subscribe to the Morning Brief newsletter, we collect your email address and any organization you optionally supply. When you send us a message through the Contact form, we collect your name, email, organization (optional), subject, and message.
Information collected automatically. Our analytics (Plausible Analytics, privacy-respecting, no cookies, no cross-site tracking) measures aggregate traffic: page URL, referrer, country-level location, and browser family. It does not see individual user identities. Our web host records standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, URL requested, response code) for security and operational reliability; these are retained for 30 days and then deleted.
We do not use third-party ad tracking, social-media "Like" buttons that phone home, or cookies for advertising purposes. If we ever add advertising, we will update this policy and clearly label paid content.
How we use information
We use your email only to send you the newsletter you subscribed to, plus occasional service messages about your subscription. We use Contact form information only to respond to your message. We use aggregate analytics to understand which reporting resonates and to make editorial decisions. We do not use any of it to build marketing profiles about you.
Who we share information with
Our newsletter delivery runs on a third-party email service provider (the vendor is named at the foot of every newsletter). That provider can see your email address in order to send you the newsletter. Our Contact form routes messages through a form-processing service provider which hands them to our staff inbox. Our analytics runs on Plausible, which is based in the European Union and operates under GDPR. Beyond these operational vendors — each of which has its own privacy policy — we share nothing with anyone, except where required by law.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. Full stop.
Your rights and choices
Every Morning Brief newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may also email privacy@tribalgaming.com to request: access to any data we hold about you, deletion of your newsletter subscription, or deletion of messages you've sent via the Contact form. If you are a resident of the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, or any other jurisdiction granting statutory privacy rights, those rights apply and we honor them regardless of where you live.
Data retention
Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Contact form messages: two years from receipt, then deleted. Analytics: aggregate only, with no per-user records retained beyond the session.
Security
We use industry-standard technical safeguards (TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, access-controlled admin consoles, two-factor authentication for staff accounts). No system is perfectly secure. If we detect a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly and in compliance with applicable law.
Children
Our content is intended for a professional and adult audience. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has submitted information, email privacy@tribalgaming.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update the "Last updated" date at the top when we make material changes. Significant changes will be notified via the Morning Brief newsletter before they take effect.
